Are you a ‘love me, love my dog’ kind of person? We are recognizing that for many, being away from their ‘best friends’ for any period of time can be tricky.  This is why we have put together a Cape Town and safari experience with a focus on canines.  In particular we have looked for experiences that highlight how dogs are often the heroes of our stories.
Missing your fur babies while on holiday is a real thing!  Take a tour designed to fill that void whilst exploring the Cape Winelands. A fun-filled half-day exploring the breathtaking Cape Winelands, complete with: sipping award-wining wine at two select, pet-friendly estates; snuggling and cuddling with Mia, our lovable canine companion; and accompanied by an expert wine guide with extensive knowledge of the region’s finest wines.
Enjoy a half-day visit to a rescue centre where the dogs are the heroes of their story.  Rescue dogs are part of an outreach programme which aims to assist youths who are suffering from stress and trauma.  Many of these ‘therapy’ dogs have experienced a difficult start in life and this programme means that while they start out as victims, the dogs are the real heroes of the story.
A visit to Cape Town would not be complete without a tour of the Cape Peninsula including a scenic drive over Chapmans Peak, a visit to Cape Point Nature Reserve and time to see the penguins at Boulders Beach. We propose doing things a little differently, how about riding on a vintage side car, with an ex-rescue dog, Brody as your companion?
Visit a canine unit for an interactive session.
Meet with a senior handler and learn about the anti-poaching work being done.
Participate in an actual tracking exercise with a dog and handler .

The dogs are highly trained and able to perform multiple functions, from pursuing intruders to sniffing out rhino horn and ammunition from vehicles and bags.

Watch as the dogs use their skills to track through the bush as part of routine exercises.

Be part of this important conservation initiative: the dogs are deeply valued, professional assets supporting the anti-poaching efforts in this region.
