South Africa relaxes PCR requirements

And announcing the relaxation of PCR requirementsWe simply loved being out and about again for Meetings Africa.  It was so good for our team to show off our event planning skills again.  Seeing the delight on the faces of our hosted buyers was first prize for us.

And with the relaxation of the PCR requirements for Travellers to South Africa, the timing couldn’t be better….

COVID19 CHANGES
Active from 24 March 2022
Gatherings
With proof of vaccination or PCR test no older than 72 hours…. all indoor and outdoor venues can now take 50% of their capacity.
If no proof is given then limited to 1000 indoors and 2000 outdoors
Masks
Needed indoors and on public transport…  but not for outdoors providing 1m social distancing is enforced.
Funerals
Maximum of 200 people
2 hour limit on funeral services.
International travel 
All incoming travellers must show proof of vaccination or negative PCR no older than 72  hours.The ProgrammeFollowing the Trade Show in Johannesburg…..

What was your overall impression of the destination from an Event’s point of view? 

Really enjoyed the destination – lots of amazing things that we can put forward for experiences. 100% lots of bucket list options for many.
Cape Town had a wow factor and one of the best places I have seen.
I suppose my only concern would be tryint to get the safety concerns out to clients. At no point though did I feel unsafe.
